Enrolling into a martial arts studio for the first time can be intimidating, but no experience is necessary to participate in these classes; Fundamentals is partaken by all different skill levels such as balance, leverage, and posture. Some of the fundamental positions and techniques include guard defense and offense, top mount and back mount positions – and joint locks and chokeholds. Whether you have had prior experience, or it’s your first class, we can start you at the basics or help you build on what you already know; and it is always useful for higher belts to review and improve their basics. The difference between a white belt and a black belt is the dedication to repeat a move until it becomes effortless.

While the physical benefits of training Jiu Jitsu are great, we believe that the mental benefits of training Jiu Jitsu are even greater. As a student you will develop your ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations, to be energy-efficient and control your heart rate by breathing properly, practicing problem-solving and finding creative solutions along with many other skillsets that you'll develop while training Jiu-Jitsu, which are very useful in other aspects of life

From the basic techniques that provides logical solutions to common problems, to the intricate advanced techniques with numerous details and variations, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is like a never-ending game with an infinite number of options. It’s highly technical and is as challenging for the mind as it is for the body, which is why it’s often referred to as “Human Chess”. In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu there is no finish line, there is an infinite number of positions, techniques and variations, with new ones being developed daily all across the world, so you'll never get the feeling that you know everything and that there's nothing left for you to learn. That keeps it exciting and challenging to train, even for people who have trained their whole lives.
